The more the merrier for extended family sessions!
Family sessions are fun, but there is something even more special when the whole crew gets together. As you can see the Nimons, Krazter, Amicucci families were SO much fun to work with!
As part of my family session experience, I like to make sure we not only get the whole family together, but breakouts of different groups as well. I put together a family shot list much like I do during family formals at a wedding. This helps to keep us organized and get all of the shots requested, but it helps to set aside time to be creative as well. Extended families session also tend to run longer due to the size of the group, so I always budget for additional time so no one feels rushed!
During this session we did some couples shots, family group shots, and some multi-generational shots of all the ladies together, as well as the gentlemen together. We also had sometime at the end of the session for Jack the youngest of the Nimons family to take some Senior Portraits, which are SO much fun! I also can’t believe Jack is going into this senior year at La Salle Institute. It feels like just yesterday that he was sitting on Ali’s (his older sister) bed when we were moving into Siena College as freshman! Senior Portraits with me are not your standard studio portraits, they are a great thing to have, and the perfect way to start your senior year!
I can’t wait to see these photos printed and hanging in these families homes, or in an album much like I had growing up!
Thank you to Jill who reached out to me to book this beautiful session on The Nimons Family Farm in Troy, NY!
I cant WAIT to shoot there again!
