Innisfree Gardens, nestled in the Hudson Valley is ranked one of the top ten gardens in the world, and I can totally understand why! If I were to describe it to someone who has never been there I would say it’s a mix of Narnia meets Alice in Wonderland. The garden has been over sixty years in the making and draws inspiration from Chinese and Japanese Garden designs.
Jennifer and John! Where do I even start about this couple? Let’s start at the beginning, I first met Jen at PWR 518, where Jen is an incredible trainer! She made me feel so welcome during my first class at the gym, and I know she does that and more for all the clients she works with.
When Jen reached out to me about photographing her wedding, I was so honored! I couldn’t wait to learn more about her fiancé John’ and their love story. Which is a great story, with a little sweet serendipity! Both Jen and John are talented actors which is how they met. During a local production of Pippi Longstocking the actor who was originally playing John’s role had to drop out unexpectedly. In stepped John and the rest is history! Their engagement story is something out of a movie, but you’ll have to stay tuned for their wedding blog post for that.
I had so much fun planning this engagement session at the Innisfree Gardens alongside Jen and John! Their creativity shines through from the location to their outfits, and special touches like her flower crown and their title belts! Scroll through the images below, I had so many favorites I couldn’t wait to share!
I look forward to seeing these two again in October of 2024!
