There is truly no place quite like Central Park in the springtime for an engagement session. With its lush greenery, blooming florals, and iconic portrait locations including Bow Bridge, Bethesda Fountain and Terrace, and The Mall, Central Park provides a setting that feels straight out of a rom-com. Engagement Sessions here result is a collection of images that are both timeless and elegant, capturing the beauty of New York City and your love story in equal measure.
It’s easy to understand why Central Park is one of the most beloved parks in the world. First opened in 1858, the park spans 843 acres of sweeping lawns, picturesque woodlands, winding pathways, tranquil streams, and expansive lakes. Every turn offers a new backdrop, making it one of the most versatile and beautiful locations for engagement photography in New York City.
For Angelica and Zac, Central Park holds an especially meaningful place in their story. Not only do they call New York City home, but it is also where Zac proposed. After asking Angelica to marry him right next to the Bow Bridge, he surprised her with a celebratory brunch surrounded by their closest family and friends. Returning to the park for their engagement session allowed them to revisit the place where this exciting chapter began, and made for an engagement session at a location that has so much meaning.
As we planned their session, we wanted to highlight the beauty of spring and showcase the season’s vibrant greenery and florals. Spring is my favorite time of year to photograph in Central Park, when the landscape comes alive with color, and the park’s famous cherry blossoms create a breathtaking backdrop throughout early April.
Angelica and Zac’s engagement session was filled with joy, romance, and effortless elegance. Like an engagement, it was so much fun celebrating the beginning of a new season and a new chapter for them. I cannot wait to photograph their wedding day at the VIP Country Club in Westchester, New York, and continue telling their story!
