I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS SESSION!! I can’t tell you how much fun I had during this Senior Photo Session at these University of Delaware! They brought their energy, joy and my favorite things: puppies and champagne! Honestly could you ask for a better morning?
I’d like to introduce to this INCREDIBLE group of best girlfriends! In the pictures below from left to right we have: Julia, Alyssa, Susana, Alicia, Meghan, Lo and Lily!
We took photos on the Green on campus, if you are a UD Student you know how pretty this location is! We did group photos as well as individuals. This group of ladies had the best energy and we hyping each other up the entire session long! Which made the girls feel even more confident and beautiful!
I LOVE taking Senior Photos! As you take a look through the beautiful photos of these ladies below. I wanted to answer some common questions that came up as we were planning this session. My hope is that it helps you plan your future Senior Portraits Session!
When should I schedule Senior Photos?
A few things played into the date of our session. We wanted the flowers to be in bloom, and we had to make sure the girls stoles and cap/gown were also in! Which was a month prior to graduation! Therefore we choose early May for the session date in the morning for the best light, and it was also a lot less crowded!
What do I bring to my Senior Photos?
Senior Portrait sessions are all about the senior! But what I love about working with seniors, is every senior has their own unique story! Therefore some of my favorite suggestions to give seniors are to bring are: Your Pet, Family members (who doesn’t love a pictures with mom!), Your sweetheart they make for great pictures in your apartment!, Your ride or die best friend! Last but not least a bottle of champagne! Because champagne is always a good idea!
What do I wear for my Senior Portrait Session?
I dive deep into this in my BPP Senior Experience Guide! But some high levels tips are always cap, gown and stole! A dress is always a great option so you can get beautiful portraits separate from the cap and gown photos. Some Seniors use those photos to update their LinkedIn profile! A beautiful headshot helps with those job applications! A bonus tip I have is to consider having a fun pair of shoes, or statement jewelry! I loved Alyssa’s shoes below, they added a beautiful feminine touch to her outfit without being distracting!
I hope you found these tips helpful! I LOVED working with these ladies, and they graduate this weekend! Join me in wishing them all the best as the head into a new chapter of their lives! This session is a special one that I won’t soon forget! xo
