MEET bridget

The Otesaga in Cooperstown, NY is the best venue for a winter wedding in Upstate NY! I know this firsthand after photographing Kayla and Brandon’s elegant winter wedding. That happened to fall on the coldest day of the year! But as you can see from their portraits in -10 weather, it didn’t matter if it was 100 degrees or -100 it was the perfect winter wedding day!

Otesgo Lake, Cooperstown

Built-in 1909 the Otesaga sits on the southernmost point of the beautiful Otsego Lake. That has a view of the mountains and the Leatherstocking Golf Course. The lake made for a breathtaking spot for the first look and bridal portraits. Especially when it started to lightly snow just as we started portraits! The Otesaga grounds created abundant opportunities for swoon-worthy bridal portraits from the sweeping staircases to the majestic east veranda. There are so many exquisite options for portraits both inside and out. This is why there are SO many photos in this blog post, I had too many favorites to choose from!

Otesaga NY Wedding

After getting to spend time with Kayla and Brandon during their Engagement Session (you NEED to read how Brandon Proposed!). I can’t think of a more perfect venue for them! When Kayla shared with me the vision for their Wedding over coffee, she described a: “Romantic Winter Wedding”, with shades of blue, silver, and white. Their vision really came to life at the Otesaga! I especially loved their attention to detail, from Kayla’s gift to her Dad to the couple’s dog Lily making a very sweet appearance! The little details on a Wedding day really tell each couple’s unique love story!

I was SO honored and happy to be your wedding photography Hype Girl Kayla & Brandon! From our first coffee date I knew this was going to be an incredible celebration, and I loved being there to capture it for you! xo

Kind Words from Kayla & Brandon:

“My husband and I were married on February 3, 2023 and when I tell you that the best thing we did for our Wedding Day was hire Bridget as our photographer, I am not exaggerating. From the very first response to my inquiry, to our brewery-inspired engagement photos and then to our actual Wedding Day, Bridget was so incredibly warm, thoughtful, and her excitement was infectious! She is the ultimate hype-woman and made us feel so comfortable and so at ease even though we were both terrified to be in front of the camera. Our Wedding fell on the coldest day in decades and Bridget braved the wind and the snow to get us the gorgeous pictures that we had dreamed of! She truly captured the love and warmth of our Wedding Day and we are so excited to hang these photos in every room of our home! We received Sneak Peeks back within 2 days and then our full gallery within 6 weeks and are in love with all of them; our only problem so far is choosing our favorites! If you’re looking for a photographer that feels like a friend to capture the most important day of your life, it doesn’t get any better than Bridget Caitlin Photography <3”

Innisfree Gardens, nestled in the Hudson Valley is ranked one of the top ten gardens in the world, and I can totally understand why! If I were to describe it to someone who has never been there I would say it’s a mix of Narnia meets Alice in Wonderland. The garden has been over sixty […]
