The Otesaga in Cooperstown, NY is the best venue for a winter wedding in Upstate NY! I know this firsthand after photographing Kayla and Brandon’s elegant winter wedding. That happened to fall on the coldest day of the year! But as you can see from their portraits in -10 weather, it didn’t matter if it was 100 degrees or -100 it was the perfect winter wedding day!
Otesgo Lake, Cooperstown
Built-in 1909 the Otesaga sits on the southernmost point of the beautiful Otsego Lake. That has a view of the mountains and the Leatherstocking Golf Course. The lake made for a breathtaking spot for the first look and bridal portraits. Especially when it started to lightly snow just as we started portraits! The Otesaga grounds created abundant opportunities for swoon-worthy bridal portraits from the sweeping staircases to the majestic east veranda. There are so many exquisite options for portraits both inside and out. This is why there are SO many photos in this blog post, I had too many favorites to choose from!
After getting to spend time with Kayla and Brandon during their Engagement Session (you NEED to read how Brandon Proposed!). I can’t think of a more perfect venue for them! When Kayla shared with me the vision for their Wedding over coffee, she described a: “Romantic Winter Wedding”, with shades of blue, silver, and white. Their vision really came to life at the Otesaga! I especially loved their attention to detail, from Kayla’s gift to her Dad to the couple’s dog Lily making a very sweet appearance! The little details on a Wedding day really tell each couple’s unique love story!
